Web scraping proxies: 6 providers with a scraping API path

Choose this page when you are picking residential proxies for a web-scraping workload and want the option of moving to the same vendor’s scraping API later — one vendor account, one upgrade path instead of a second supplier. The reviewed selection is the six directory providers recorded as selling both residential proxies and a scraping API: Bright Data, Oxylabs, Decodo, Evomi, Geonode and HProxy. Product qualification and purchasing records were checked 2026-09-28 to 2026-09-29, and the API figures below were observed on vendor product and pricing pages on 2026-10-01. Proxy quotes bill per GB of traffic while the scraping APIs bill per request, per result or per delivered record, so a per-GB proxy price and a per-1K API price are not directly comparable at any provider here. Use the API comparison below if you already want a managed scraping service.

Provider sources checked 2026-09-26 to 2026-09-29.

Raw proxies or a scraping API?

Raw residential proxies fit when you already run crawler infrastructure — your own fetching, retry, rotation and ban handling — and only need IP supply: every provider on this page bills proxies per GB, so cost follows bytes moved, not pages read. A scraping API fits when you would rather send a URL or a platform identifier and receive HTML, Markdown or parsed JSON with rotation, retries and unblocking handled for you. The documented billing units differ: Decodo and Geonode bill per 1K requests, Oxylabs and Evomi per 1K successful results, Bright Data per successfully delivered record and HProxy per successful call. That unit decides the fit for your volume shape — per-GB billing punishes heavy pages and media, per-request billing follows request counts within the same pricing tier, and per-record billing scales with extracted items rather than fetches. JavaScript rendering raises the advertised API rate at Oxylabs and Decodo. Compare that rate with the bandwidth, browser compute and retry costs of your own crawler before deciding which option costs less for the same workload. No provider here publishes a conversion between GB and requests, so treat the two units as different currencies rather than deciding on price alone.

How this selection was reviewed

This is a reviewed selection of six providers selling both residential proxies and a scraping API, each with a product-specific qualification and residential purchasing review. It is not a complete list of providers offering both products. Those records were checked 2026-09-28 to 2026-09-29, and the API figures on this page were observed on vendor product and pricing pages on 2026-10-01; they are vendor-advertised claims, not tested performance or checkout quotes. Bright Data’s API plan figures were recovered from embedded page-source attributes on its JavaScript-heavy pricing page on 2026-10-01 rather than from a rendered browser view. Evomi’s rendering price remains unconfirmed: its pricing page presents flat per-1K rates with rendering included while its product FAQ and docs publish per-mode credit costs. Geonode’s $62.50 monthly price is the displayed 250,000-request plan, not a verified minimum; the selector also lists 10K and 50K plans whose prices were not verified. Its pay-as-you-go offer is separate and advertises from $0.40/1K with a $50 minimum order. Decodo’s own pages disagree on pool size (115M+ on the residential page, 125M+ on scraping pages), so no pool figure is quoted. A documented shared balance across proxies and the scraping API exists only at HProxy; for the other five, one vendor account and a shared pricing hub are documented, not one bill.

Which terms fit your purchase?

Providers appear in the reviewed selection order. These are decisions based on published terms, not tested performance winners.

Bright Data

Pick Bright Data when pre-built scrapers for named targets and per-record billing fit the workload: the advertised Web Scraper API returns parsed JSON, NDJSON or CSV from a 1,400+ scraper library, bills only for successfully delivered records, and starts with a free tier of 5K records a month or $1.5/1K records pay as you go.

Check the tradeoff: The advertised routing wording stops at requests running on Bright Data infrastructure with 400M+ IPs, unlocking and browsers built in — there is no literal residential-network routing statement. One vendor account and one pricing hub for proxies and the API are documented, but a shared balance across them is not.

Bright Data Web Scraper API ↗ · Bright Data residential pricing ↗

Oxylabs

Pick Oxylabs when success-based billing and pre-parsed targets matter: its Web Scraper API returns raw HTML or parsed JSON for dedicated targets (an Amazon product maps to 129 data points), does not bill 5xx/6xx responses, and offers a free trial of up to 2,000 results before the advertised $49-a-month Micro plan from $0.50/1K results.

Check the tradeoff: Advertised entry rates differ by target — $0.50/1K for Amazon, $1.00 for Google, $1.15 for other sites — and JavaScript rendering raises the rate to $1.35/1K, so mixed target lists blend several prices, and VAT may apply. Routing wording is “automatic proxy rotation” and “premium proxies” without naming the residential network, and shared billing with proxies is not documented.

Oxylabs Web Scraper API ↗ · Oxylabs Web Scraper API pricing ↗ · Oxylabs residential pricing ↗

Decodo

Pick Decodo when per-request cost control matters: its Web Scraping API bills per 1K requests by request type, so simple pages stay on the advertised $0.50/1K standard rate while JavaScript rendering ($0.75/1K) and the premium pool ($1.00/1K, or $1.50/1K with JavaScript) are enabled only when needed, starting from a $0 plan with 2K standard requests.

Check the tradeoff: All rates carry +VAT and escalate per request type, so a JavaScript-heavy target list can cost triple the standard rate, and Markdown output requires the premium pool. Decodo’s own pages state both an always-free $0 plan and a 7-day free trial, and quote the proxy pool as both 115M+ and 125M+, so this page quotes neither figure.

Decodo Web Scraping API ↗ · Decodo Web Scraping API pricing ↗ · Decodo residential pricing ↗

Evomi

Pick Evomi when the lowest advertised per-1K API entry figure in this selection matters: its Scraper API bills per 1,000 successful results from $0.20/1K pay as you go with no expiry, advertises clean JSON output (the docs also list HTML, Markdown, PDF and screenshots) and routes requests through residential or datacenter proxies across 150+ countries.

Check the tradeoff: Evomi’s official pages conflict on rendering cost: the pricing page presents flat per-1K rates with JavaScript rendering and retries included, while the product FAQ and docs publish per-mode credit multipliers where browser mode costs more credits — treat the rendering price as unconfirmed. The docs also say the API needs credits specifically for the Scraper API, so shared billing with proxies is not documented.

Evomi Scraper API ↗ · Evomi pricing ↗ · Evomi Scraper API docs ↗

Geonode

Pick Geonode when one plan should cover several scraping jobs: its Scraper API spans extraction, batch, crawl, map and search endpoints with failed requests never charged, explicitly built on Geonode’s own proxy network, advertised from a free $0 plan of 1,500 requests a month, a displayed 250,000-request plan at $62.50 a month, or pay as you go from $0.40/1K requests.

Check the tradeoff: The $62.50 plan is an example, not the minimum paid plan: the selector also lists 10K and 50K options whose prices were not verified. Pay as you go is separate, starting from $0.40/1K with a $50 minimum order. Output is documented as Markdown, HTML or both; a shared balance with proxies is not documented, although one API key covers the scraping endpoints.

Geonode Scraper API ↗ · Geonode Scraper API docs ↗ · Geonode residential proxies ↗

HProxy

Pick HProxy when one prepaid balance should cover both proxies and scraping: it is the only provider here documenting that (“one balance for every product”), and its Scraper API returns structured JSON from 116 ready-made endpoints across 23 named platforms, billed per successful call from $1.49/1K with errors, timeouts and rate limits unbilled.

Check the tradeoff: The catalog is fixed platform endpoints only — there is no arbitrary-URL scraper and no free scraper trial. Per-endpoint prices vary up to $38.74/1K calls, and because pricing is per call rather than per result, empty results and lookups of missing targets still bill.

Refund conditions · Conflicting

The refund page describes a 14-day window for unused wallet funds and unrouted GB, with restricted first-month subscription eligibility; activated-product exclusions also apply. The FAQ says 24 hours. These public rules conflict, so obtain confirmation for the exact product before funding a wallet.

This is a selected sample with product-specific pricing checks, not a complete market ranking. Rates may refer to different pools or sharing arrangements. A provider’s other targeting, protocol and session capabilities do not necessarily apply to the tier quoted here.

How this comparison is maintained

We compare a reviewed selection of providers that sell both the scoped proxy type and a related API under one vendor account, from the open directory dataset. Quotes are calculated from advertised pricing, with qualification and purchasing records re-checked on the stated dates. No performance or checkout testing is claimed. Providers whose records have not been checked in the last 30 days are omitted.

Only the selected providers with product-specific pricing checks appear here. Calculations use regular price tiers and the recorded minimum initial payment. One-time trial offers are excluded. For datacenter and ISP proxies we compare one month and exclude tiers explicitly marked IPv6-only. The directory filter treats unspecified versions as IPv4 candidates; these are labeled and require confirmation before purchase. Shared and dedicated tiers are labeled when documented. For traffic products, quantities are purchases of GB, not a forecast of usage. Pack calculations may buy more than requested, and unsupported estimates are omitted. Monthly GB subscriptions must have one adequate advertised pack or a documented metered rate. One-time traffic packs and monthly IP packs may be repeated as an explicitly labeled assumption; different packs are not combined. Confirm overage, funding, expiry and tax terms at checkout.

Provider claims about location coverage and capabilities are not benchmarks. Affiliate commission, community votes and staff position do not determine the cost table order. Some visit links may earn a commission; see our relationship disclosure.
