PacketStream alternatives for residential proxy buyers
This comparison is for buyers of PacketStream proxy traffic, not people earning money by sharing bandwidth. Consider HProxy for a smaller initial traffic purchase, Evomi for a 100 GB monthly Core allowance, or Decodo when finer targeting is essential. PacketStream remains the baseline for a nonexpiring retail balance and country-level access.
The $1 per GB rate starts with a $50 purchase
PacketStream’s standard retail minimum buys 50 GB even when your immediate requirement is 10 GB. HProxy’s 10 GB traffic charge is $5, subject to its payment-method funding minimum. The lower initial outlay is a reason to examine that alternative, but it does not establish equivalent peers, sessions or target success. PacketStream’s separate reseller program is not required for the retail rate.
Preserve connection behavior during a switch
PacketStream selects a rotating exit on a new proxy connection. Its sticky mapping uses a rolling inactivity timeout, and loss of the supplying peer can fail the session. A new provider’s rotating/sticky labels do not prove the same behavior. Recheck connection reuse and failure handling for your application, and use Decodo’s targeting source if you also need a location below country level.

PacketStream
Keep PacketStream on the shortlist for a one-time retail traffic purchase with nonexpiring balance and country-level targeting. Its $1/GB rate has a $50 minimum, so a 10 GB requirement initially buys 50 GB.
Check the tradeoff: Country targeting does not establish city or ASN selection. Rotation is tied to a new proxy connection; connection reuse can retain the exit. A disconnected supplying peer can fail a sticky session. Check those behaviors when migrating.

HProxy
Consider HProxy Lite when a smaller funded-wallet purchase fits better than a large initial traffic pack. The 10 GB scenario has a $5 traffic charge.
Check the tradeoff: A new card/local-wallet customer must fund at least $10; crypto funding starts at $3. Lite does not inherit all Premium or Classic targeting and session features. Account balance and purchased traffic are different quantities.
Evomi
Consider Evomi Core when 100 GB each month and same-rate overage fit the project. The published monthly charge is $49, with additional GB at $0.49 before any paid advanced filters.
Check the tradeoff: This is a monthly commitment, unlike a one-time wallet purchase. PAYG is separate and has a larger minimum than a 10 GB requirement. Do not assume monthly allowance rollover or Premium pool capabilities at the Core price.
Decodo
Keep Decodo on the shortlist when included country, state, city, ZIP or ASN targeting matters. The three selected purchase scenarios use its monthly residential packages.
Check the tradeoff: PAYG is a separate $4/GB wallet mode with 12-month traffic validity and cannot operate simultaneously with a subscription. The PAYG expiry term does not establish monthly rollover. Exact sticky-duration claims conflict across its pages, so no maximum is promised here.

We compare provider-published facts from the open directory dataset. Each record links to its sources and discussion. Providers that are not selling yet, have no source links or have not been checked in the last 30 days are omitted. Editorial reviews are also due every 30 days.
Only the selected providers with product-specific pricing checks appear here. Calculations use regular price tiers and the recorded minimum initial payment. One-time trial offers are excluded. For datacenter and ISP proxies we compare one month and exclude tiers explicitly marked IPv6-only. The directory filter treats unspecified versions as IPv4 candidates; these are labeled and require confirmation before purchase. Shared and dedicated tiers are labeled when documented. For traffic products, quantities are purchases of GB, not a forecast of usage. Pack calculations may buy more than requested, and unsupported estimates are omitted. Monthly GB subscriptions must have one adequate advertised pack or a documented metered rate. One-time traffic packs and monthly IP packs may be repeated as an explicitly labeled assumption; different packs are not combined. Confirm overage, funding, expiry and tax terms at checkout.
