Zyte, known as Scrapinghub until 2021, is an Irish web-data company that makes the Scrapy framework and ran the Crawlera proxy, now retired. Its Zyte API works as a proxy endpoint that picks datacenter or residential IPs per site and handles bans. It bills per successful response in five site-difficulty tiers, from $0.13 to $1.27 per 1k on pay-as-you-go and down to $0.06 with a $500 monthly commitment.

- $100/month commitment (25% off, $200 limit): HTTP $0.10-$0.95, browser $0.75-$12.00 per 1,000
- $200/month commitment (40% off, $400 limit): HTTP $0.08-$0.76, browser $0.60-$9.60 per 1,000
- $500/month commitment (52% off, $2,500 limit): HTTP $0.06-$0.61, browser $0.48-$7.68 per 1,000; the docs also list a $350 commitment at 48% off ($700 limit)
- Commitments are paid at the start of each month and usage above them is billed at the same discounted rate; unused commitment is not refunded; Enterprise gets custom discounts and 10,000 RPM
- Extras: screenshots $0.002, automatic extraction $0.0004-$0.0016 per data type, actions by CPU and network use; requests on device-residential IPs or extended geolocations have separate base costs plus network charges (rates not published); failed and rate-limited responses are free
Trial & refunds
New Zyte API accounts get $5 of free credit for their first billing month (30 days, no commitment); the credit is shared across standard plans and any unused part is lost. When the free credit expires the account is suspended until a spending limit is set. Proxyway's review says a card is needed at sign-up (Zyte charges and refunds $1). Business-verification features, such as forcing residential IPs, are not available on the free trial. The terms give new customers a refund within 7 days of sign-up if they have not used the service, or if it did not work for them and Zyte could not fix it in that time; there is no refund after successful use, on downgrades or for unused commitment.
