### Residential purchasing conditions

Rayobyte rotating residential PAYG bandwidth purchase, including optional Auto-Replenish. Monthly subscriptions and static DC/ISP subscriptions are separate offers with different renewal and refund terms.

Purchase sources checked 2026-09-29; review due 2026-10-29.

- **Minimum purchase & funding (documented):** Residential Starter begins at 1 GB at $3.50/GB, a $3.50 traffic purchase before any checkout taxes. The pricing page sends orders of 5,000 GB+ to custom sales; an as-low-as rate is not a fixed enterprise price. Separate cash-wallet funding minimum was not established. [Proxy pricing](https://rayobyte.com/pricing/)
- **Renewal & cancellation (documented):** PAYG is purchased by bandwidth. Optional Auto-Replenish automatically attempts another chosen purchase when the configured balance threshold is reached. Subscription offers exist separately; the reviewed PAYG help does not establish a dashboard disable procedure for Auto-Replenish. - **Unused traffic & account credit (documented):** Purchased PAYG residential traffic does not expire and remains until consumed. Subscription bandwidth is allocated according to its selected cycle, which does not establish rollover. Cash-wallet and trial traffic expiry were not established. - **Trial eligibility (unconfirmed):** The residential product advertises a free trial, and pricing directs users to create an account. Help describes limited rotating trials upon request. No fixed allowance, duration, card requirements or universal eligibility were verified. General trial terms permit paid conversion unless canceled; inspect the actual offer. - **Refund conditions (documented):** Residential consumed and unused bandwidth are generally nonrefundable. The two-day money-back policy is for static proxies and does not establish a residential guarantee. The terms permit case-by-case refunds at Rayobyte's discretion; unused traffic alone is insufficient. ## Highlights

- Residential bandwidth does not expire; country, state, city and ASN targeting at no extra cost
- Residential SOCKS5 supports UDP traffic, including HTTP/3 and STUN, per its FAQ
- Static datacenter IPs in 29 countries with unlimited bandwidth; US dedicated IPv6 at $0.20/IP

## Good to know

- Residential access needs a 50 MB trial and an application; KYC runs through Sumsub, and users who refuse or fail it are banned
- The $0.50/GB residential and mobile rates are arranged through sales at 5,000 GB+; self-serve residential starts at $3.50/GB
- Refunds are case by case; the 2-day trial refund covers only certain datacenter/ISP packages, usually one 5-proxy package
- Its datacenter IPs were among those used in 2023 DDoS attacks on news sites (Qurium, CPJ); Rayobyte said it removed the abusive user

## Red flags

Dec 2023: Qurium and Rappler traced at least 10% of the proxy IPs in an October 2023 DDoS attack on Rappler to Rayobyte and FineProxy (four data centers connected to Rayobyte); Rappler said the providers were not the perpetrators. CPJ (Jul 2024) linked Rayobyte to attacks on at least six other media sites in 2023; Rayobyte said it had removed the abusive user in earlier cases and confirmed receipt of CPJ's questions about Rappler without responding further.
